In 2025, Riverside Education ran a small trial which encouraged local village children to participate in scheduled football matches played at our KEP Gardens School in southern Cambodia.

Our aim was to encourage the significant number of local students who were not attending school to rejoin their school community in order to participate in the matches played on school grounds.

The program was a resounding success with 18 new students enrolling for the following year.

We estimated around 90 village children were not attending school before the Kick Start program began. Based on these figures we anticipate our national roll-out will reach around 75,000 young Cambodians resulting in approximately 15,000 new enrolments.
